Oil, Lube and Filter

In order to avoid excess wear on your engine and improve your gas mileage, we suggest you change your oil every 5,000km or 3 months whichever comes first.

During an oil, lube and filter we: refill your oil, change your oil filter, lube the chassis and inspect the belts, hoses and air cleaner.

Oil Filter~ your oil filter consists of steel housing that contains various types of filtering media.  When the engine is off, an anti-drainback valve prevents oil from running out of the filter.  Removal and installation of an oil filter is easy as they have a convenient spin on design.

The oil filter sifts out contaminants allowing oil to flow through the engine unrestricted.  When the filter becomes clogged or restricted by contaminants, the oil will flow around the filter.  The process is a safety mechanism called bypassing.  You should not let your oil filter changes go so long that bypassing takes place though.
